I've always been interested in spiritual and mystical things, and in my teens I actively started to search out different teachings. I practiced martial arts and was drawn towards Eastern philosophy. Around the same time, a friend of mine told me about what was called astral projection, or conscious out-of-body experiences, and from then on I became very eager to experience this for myself. I read much about occultism and paranormal things, and searched the internet for any relevant info I could find, particularly on astral travel.

I realized that spirituality was something that could perhaps be experienced, and not just believed in. I eventually came across a site (www.gnosticweb.com) with courses in astral travel and other related topics such as self-knowledge, and from there on my interest in trying to learn more about the universe, humanity and myself has grown considerably.

The most important thing I've learned so far is that we can change ourselves for the better through training, and that spiritual phenomena are available to everyone who seeks them out.

I was recently made aware of this inspiring site by a friend, and am glad to see many others who share these interests. Hopefully we can all learn from and motivate each other within this community.
